Thank you to David and Monique Griffiths for the opportunity to be a part of such a great event. I also have to give my parents a thank you  for driving all the way from Pittsburgh. They are two of the most supportive people in the world and I appreciate them.

It’s always interesting shooting an event with multiple photographers. Especially multiple photographers with bigger and better cameras and lenses and tripods and vests…well I have a vest but you get the point. In the end its interesting to see how we all go about doing things. How we each see a different perspective of the same thing. There’s probably a sermon somewhere in that…

Enough talking. On to the pics.

This year a lot of things happened. People prayed. Things changed. I changed. Through it all I was able to get back to doing the thing that I love most, taking pictures.

As a photographer, preparing for a shoot mentally is probably one of the most important things we do. Set some goals. Plan some shots. Then just before the wedding get a feel for the location. Get a feel for the couple. Make sure you know exactly what they are looking for. In the past I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself to get this shot and get that shot, make sure I do this and that, make sure my camera is right etc… sometimes so much is put into all of those things that I think as photographers we forget the most important thing… to tell a story.

This story is called Love Actually.

I’m finally blogging. It’s been a while.

I saw a flier in my Twitter feed and it was described as a shopping and networking event. I thought…what a combination lol. I knew it was something I should be a part of. Thank you to Ayrikah Nichole (http://ayrikahnichole.wordpress.com/) for having me out. Here are a few photos from the event.
